Tink, tink, tink . . . [FEEDBACK NOISE]

So what have I been doing that I am not updating?

Uh, well . . .  traveling, mostly. I’m scouting locations for the third book in the Cryptid Series and am being inspired for later book location settings.

I’ve also added editor to my résumé.  I have worked on a few indie books, I’m mentoring a novice writer, and I’m trying to keep moving forward.

I Tweet. I spent a good amount of time boosting authors and have even gotten some mentorship in. I’d Facebook, but the EULA says they’d own anything I write on there. I don’t want them having more information than they need off me because of me.

So that’s about it. If you’re reading this, and you have a question, then by all means ask it. I’d love to talk with you about reading, writing, editing . . . whatever.

What Happened to Author Adam Dreece Can Happen to You, Indie Author.

I am shocked. Absolutely shocked.

Amazon.com – A Vengeful, Simplistic God?

While I’ve been decompressing after a severe bout of IABOS (coined by indie author, C. A. Hocking) after the publication of Man and Brother, wretched things have been afoot for independent author Adam Dreece.

Randomnerdiness, This One’s for You

beavis-and-butthead-rockAm I . . . Cool?

So, I got the head’s up that Altered States got a mention at Hacker News. Very awesome. Indie as fsck, by the way. (Dunno what fsck is? Google it.) Much like in writing life, however, that post got lost in the daily grind of some pretty cool stuff.

On a Series’s Note: Life in Marginalia

Well, I am still working on Man and Brother, which does not appear to be coming out this year. I’d like to explain the delay, especially since I’ve been working on it over the past year and have just not had it come together as quickly as the previous book.

So, What Do You Want to Know? (Part Three)

Part three of the practice author interview.

writinghumourI have a real author interview lined up, one which I must work on over the weekend. Oh, real interviews are hard: What if I say the exact wrong thing to make people hate me? I think that might be worse than people ignoring me. Well, worse to my psyche. I have no idea what generating negative publicity will do for the books that I’ve published.

Progress Bar: It’s A Mad, Mad, Cryptid World!

'Til Undeath Do Us Part
Still on Track for Early 2015!

Wow, November is waning fast. I’m a bit overwhelmed by what transpired since November 2013. The Dome Trilogy is done; I even put up excerpts on the web page. NaNoWriMo 2014 is nearly over; I somehow wrote an entire book during that time. Thanksgiving Day is done; my failed homemade fan-tan rolls were replaced by gorgeous homemade French rolls last-minute. Black Friday has come and gone; I took a hike instead of participated in the free-for-all consumer frenzy.

I’m worn out mentally and physically and emotionally (and possibly spiritually), yet I want to pick up The Cryptid Series and return to work on it.

However, I have a tall hurdle before me.
